A Community Commitment
Berwick Area Transitional Services, known as B.A.T.S, is an emerging non-profit established in March 2026. It is bridging the gap by providing the Berwick area and surrounding communities access to several social services agencies in one centralized location.
Targeted Coverage Areas:
Berwick, Berwick Borough, Salem, Salem TWP, Beach Haven, Nescopeck, Nescopeck TWP, Briar Creek TWP, Mifflinville, Mifflinville TWP, Summerhill, Scott TWP, and all of South Center TWP
Current Support
We currently operate as a drop-in center 2-3 days per week, providing access to laundry services and case management.
Our Future Goals
Renovation
Seeking to expand our layout to provide temporary emergency shelters (Code Red, Code Blue), along with dedicated spaces for several social service agencies
Expand Access/Community Needs
Expansion will allow for easy access to much-needed resources
