And what better way to kick things off than with a great meal from Outback Steakhouse!

Neighborhood Assistance Program
BUSINESS OWNERS — IF YOU’VE RECEIVED A LETTER FROM US, YES… WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTNERS. And if you haven’t received one yet… you may soon. So please take a few minutes to read this.
First, let me make something very clear:
NO — we are not trying to reinvent the wheel.
We are simply trying to add supportive spokes to the wheel by filling geographical and service gaps that currently exist in our area.
There are many great organizations already doing great work. We don’t want to duplicate what they are doing. We want to work alongside them, fill the voids, and bring services and support closer to the people who need them.
If you want to understand exactly what we mean by that, please ask. We are more than happy to explain our vision.
We are actively looking for businesses that have Pennsylvania tax liability to consider learning more about the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) and how it can work for them — and for our community.
Instead of simply sending all those tax dollars to Harrisburg with no say in where they ultimately go, eligible businesses may have an opportunity to receive tax credits for supporting approved community projects.
You get to be part of the decision.
Depending on the program and your eligibility, you may have the opportunity to choose which program or project you want your support directed toward.
And those dollars can help us operate programs, provide services, and potentially help develop the facilities and supportive-housing infrastructure we are working toward.
So, when you receive a letter from B.A.T.S. asking about NAP, please don’t throw it away. Ask questions. Let us explain it. Look at your options.
You may discover an opportunity to take money you are already paying in taxes and help put it toward something tangible in the community.
People. Housing. Recovery. Veterans. Seniors. Families. Support.
That’s the bigger picture we are trying to build.
We aren’t asking businesses to simply write us a check and walk away. We are looking for partners.
Partners who want to sit down with us, understand the vision, look at the possibilities, and help us build something that can make a lasting difference in the Berwick area and beyond.
